Pastor Yomi Okewunmi, fondly known as PY, is a dynamic minister, scholar, mentor, author, and visionary leader from Abeokuta, Ogun State, now based in Ibadan, Oyo State. He is widely recognized for his impact in ministry, youth empowerment, education, and leadership development across Nigeria and beyond.
He serves as the Resident Pastor of SPAC Headquarters, Sango, Ibadan, where he has become a respected voice in advancing God's Kingdom through the ministry of the Word and the demonstration of power. His teachings are known for their depth, clarity, and practical relevance to everyday life.
Pastor Yomi is the pioneer of the monthly youth gathering Arise Conference — now in its fourth year — a prophetic meeting point for young people discovering their path in God, purpose in life, and place in destiny. This is to ensure that they take responsibility for Self, Family, and Generation. He also convenes Eagles Convergence and Give Us This Month. He is the founder of Afrowecanism, an African ideology built on the belief: "As Africans, We Can", and EduTop Scholar, an educational initiative helping students achieve academic excellence.
He is currently pursuing a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree at the University of Ibadan, with a research focus on Ethics, Migration, and African Development. His research pursuit is driven by a passion for the moral and socio-cultural transformation and development of Africa through the cultivation of sound ethical values among the younger generation.
The Polytechnic Ibadan. Graduated with a National Diploma in Insurance with Distinction, laying the foundation for his analytical and scholarly approach to ministry and leadership.
University of Ibadan. Achieved a First Class Honours degree in Philosophy, demonstrating exceptional intellectual capacity, critical thinking, and a deep understanding of human existence and purpose.
Further advanced his academic journey with a Master's Degree completed with Distinction, reflecting a lifelong commitment to discipline, continuous growth, and scholarly excellence.
Currently pursuing a Doctor of Philosophy degree at the University of Ibadan, with research focus on Ethics, Migration, and African Development — driven by a passion for the moral and socio-cultural transformation of Africa.
Pastor Yomi Okewunmi is happily married to Dr. Kehinde Adeola Okewunmi, and together they are blessed with two wonderful children. Their union stands as a testament to God's faithfulness and serves as a model of love, partnership, and shared purpose.
